Service
- Design assistance is available to offer suggestions in the planning stage. Simply call 1-800-558-5096 or fax your plans to 1-920-725-2053. Our extensive literature and photo library shows dozens of design options.
- Arcways provides detailed shop drawings for job-site verification for each curved staircase to insure the stair will properly fit at the time of installation.
- Four to five weeks is the normal lead time for delivery of the staircase to the customer. Lead time begins after Arcways receives approved shop drawings.
- Arcways completely assembles the staircase at the factory in a controlled environment to assure proper fit of the various stair components.
- The staircase is shipped knocked down via common carrier to the customer. A packing list and easy to follow instructions are included to insure all components are received and will assemble easily.
- Assembly time is approximately four to six hours for two people.
- Prompt, courteous service is provided throughout the quoting, construction and installation process.
Construction
- The staircase features 1 5/8" solid oak treads and platform on the 4' diameter stair and 2" treads and platform on the 5', 5' 4", and 6' diameter stairs.
- Arcways wood spirals feature a smooth center column and floating treads. The result is a clean, fluid stairway.
- Pre-trimmed stair balusters feature Arcways "tap-loc" system. This is a metal on metal connection which decreases handrail setting time and strengthens the balustrade system.
- The staircase is completely assembled under factory environment. This enables control of the product from start to finish and allows the most stringent standards to be set and met.
- The handrail is pre-drilled for the balusters to the proper pitch of the stair for ease of assembly.
- A pre-fit rail bolt system is installed on the spiral handrail for ease of reassembly at the jobsite.
- All stair components are completely sanded to 100 grit before packaging. Touch-up sanding is required before finishing.
Architectural
- Four standard models from which to choose: the Bayhill, the Springfield, the Cambridge, and the Captiva. This allows for better matching of interior styles and decor'.
- The hardwood spiral has premium grade northern red oak as the standard wood species. Other species such as birch, American cherry, mahogany, black walnut, white oak or ash, and a variety of the species are also available upon quotation to better match each project's woodwork.
- Rail fittings are matched with rail for uniform fit.
- Architectural Woodwork Institute (AWI) quality standards are vigorously followed and exceeded by Arcways.
